1 in 3 LGB&T* people will be affected by abuse and violence

LGB&T* people experience abuse and violence, and fear of further isolation can make it difficult to ask for help.

LGB&T* people can experience abuse in ways including:

  • Threats to ‘out’ people with family or at work
  • Withholding medication
  • Stopping you from practising safe sex

We support all people identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans, and anyone falling under the umbrella term of LGB&T* such as queer, intersex, pansexual, gender non-binary or gender fluid, including those questioning their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
