The Portal is a partnership of leading Sussex Domestic and Sexual Abuse Charities.
RISE is a national award winning domestic abuse charity. R.I.S.E stands for Refuge, Information, Support and Education. RISE is The Portal lead partner.
RISE offers specialist support for women, children, families affected by domestic abuse and violence in Brighton & Hove, and for BME women and LGB&T* survivors in East Sussex.
Survivors’ Network offers specialist support for all survivors of rape and sexual abuse and violence in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. They are a fully accredited member of Rape Crisis England and Wales and are the Rape Crisis Centre for Sussex.
CGL offers specialist support for women, children, and families affected by domestic abuse and violence in East Sussex, and for male survivors in East Sussex and Brighton & Hove.
Depending on the level of risk and need, support may be offered by one of The Portal’s partners, including:
LGB&T* Switchboard > Support for LGB&T* people in Brighton & Hove.
Mankind > Support for men who have been sexually abused.
Victim Support > Victim Support – Support for victims of crime.
To better support victims and survivors of violence and abuse, and their families, The Portal funders work together to commission specialist services for anyone affected by domestic violence and abuse, rape, sexual violence and abuse.
